As a Junior Financial Accountant, you’ll gain valuable experience across financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, management accounts and operational finance. Duties/Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journals, reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close.
- Support management accounts, financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and assist with audit files.
- Assist with VAT, payroll and SARS-related submissions.
- Manage customer and supplier reconciliations, payment preparations and cash flow updates.
- Provide general finance support and assist with ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (essential).
- 0–2 years’ post-articles experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge and experience preparing financial statements.
- Exposure to VAT, payroll, taxation and audits.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience with Sage 50, Sage Pastel, CaseWare or similar systems advantageous.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Education
- BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, BAcc or equivalent qualification.

Salary
- The proposed salary for the role is R25k - R30k per month - the offer is marginally negotiable but the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
