About the position
A leading global creative group based in Cape Town is looking for a Junior Accountant to support our Finance team and agency partners. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth day-to-day accounting operations across the group.
You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and engage with stakeholders across the business to help keep the financial engine running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Financial (80%)
- Ensure transactions are technically compliant and aligned with group policies
- Prepare month-end reports, including:
- Bank, intercompany & balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepayments and accruals schedules
- Fixed asset register updates & journals
- General ledger reviews and postings
- Assist with:
- Monthly management accounts
- Budget analysis
- BAS, Payroll Tax & FBT submissions
- Handle intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
- Support Group (M+C Plc) reporting requests
- Ad hoc finance support to the Senior Accountant
Systems & Processes (15%)
- Assist with process documentation
- Suggest improvements to increase efficiency
People (5%)
- Build strong working relationships within Finance & Agency teams
- Attend and participate in team meetings
Education & Experience
- Degree in Accounting (Honours/Postgrad beneficial)
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- ERP experience essential (Spectra PF / BCC advantageous)
- Advertising/Media industry experience is a plus
- Shared services experience beneficial
