Junior Accountant

About the position

Our client is looking for a Junior Accountant with:

• A great attitude with a willingness to “jump in” and help where needed
• A desire to learn and grow in your accounting career
• Strong accounting understanding and numerical skills (must be able to do journals and understand Dr and Cr)
• Xero experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Key Responsibilities:

• Bank Reconciliations
• Accounts Payable (processing, reconciliation and loading of payments)
• BEE compliance process
• Collections reconciliations
• Accounting to trial balance (general ledger reconciliations; review of income statement; accruals and prepaids)
• Company secretarial tasks

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience - Must have strong accounting knowledge
• Preferably studying towards SAIPA
• Degree or equivalent in Accounting
