Junior Accountant

About the position

A well-known chemical raw material company requires a Junior Accountant to join their finance team to capture data, maintain financial records, and support the daily accounting operations within the company.
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent.
• No prior work experience required (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Accurately capturing financial data into accounting systems.
• Assisting with processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Maintaining and updating financial records and documentation.
• Reconciling bank statements and supplier accounts.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and audits.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Performing general administrative and clerical duties as required.
