Junior Accountant - Edenvale

What You'll Do:

You'll gain invaluable experience while ensuring the smooth operation of our financial accounts, focusing on:

? Comprehensive management of petty cash and all creditors functions.
? Accurate processing of invoicing, Goods Receiving Vouchers (GRV), and Goods Received Notes (GRN).
? Timely and precise execution of payments.
? Daily management of banking activities and cashbook processing.
? Contributing to the development and adherence of accounting processes and procedures.
? Assisting significantly with year-end reporting and preparing for auditing procedures.
? Providing crucial accounting support and insights to our various villages, centers, and other cost centers.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a solid academic background and practical experience in accounting. You should have:

? At least 3 years' experience in an accounting support or similar role, along with an accounting diploma or active studies towards a relevant tertiary qualification.
? Proficiency in Pastel Evolution Accounts Package.
? Excellent Excel experience for analysis and reporting.
? Strong reconciliation skills and a thorough understanding of general ledger and journal
transactions.
? A solid grasp of the VAT Act.
? The ability to perform under pressure, multitask effectively, and collaborate positively with suppliers and colleagues.
? Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
? An energetic, proactive, and highly accurate approach with great attention to detail.
? A strong sense of responsibility and ownership, the capacity to work independently, and to use initiative.
? Mature judgment and a cooperative team player mentality.
