About the position
About the Role:
We’re looking for a detail-driven and dependable Junior Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary, half-day basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, thrives on accuracy, and is looking for flexibility while still being meaningfully involved in day-to-day finance operations.
You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial processes running smoothly by supporting transactional accounting, reconciliations, and vendor management. If you’re someone who takes pride in getting the details right and can manage your time effectively in a half-day role, this could be a great fit.
Duties:
- Capturing and maintaining daily cashflow records
- Processing business expenses and managing invoice capturing
- Preparing and posting general journals as required
- Managing purchase orders (POs) and invoice workflows
- Performing vendor reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing weekly payment packs
- Generating and sending customer invoices
- Uploading and processing invoices on finance platforms (including Coupa & Ariba)
- Maintaining vendor records and reviewing onboarding documentation
- Reconciling company credit card transactions
- Assisting with monthly intercompany (ICM) reporting
- Supporting the team with ad hoc finance tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- A solid grounding in basic accounting principles (AP, AR, general ledger)
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Experience with invoice processing, reconciliations, and high-volume transactions
- Comfortable working with Excel and financial systems (Coupa, Ariba, or similar is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a half-day schedule
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving discrepancies
- Good communication skills when working with vendors and internal teams
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role
