About the position
Sir Fruit is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join their Western Cape team.
As a Juicery Shop Assistant, you'll be the face of Sir Fruit. You'll work in a fast-paced retail environment, delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining smooth store operations. Your day will involve a mix of sales, customer engagement, stock management, and merchandising - no two days are the same.
Job requirements (but not limited to):
Sales & Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service at the Point of Sale (POS), processing sales transactions using our Pilot system
- Facilitate card payments via our Standard Bank terminals (cash-free environment)
- Understand and confidently communicate product knowledge across our full Sir Fruit and LuckyBird range
- Cross-sell and upsell promotional and short-dated stock items to maximize customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints professionally and follow our customer care procedures
Stock & Merchandising
- Manage stock replenishment from backup storage, ensuring fridges are always fully stocked according to planogram guidelines
- Maintain proper stock rotation and monitor expiry dates
- Ensure all products are displayed with correct pricing
- Conduct weekly stock takes and report variances
- Monitor fridge temperatures and report any issues
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times
Operational Excellence
- Manage store opening and closing procedures, including alarm systems
- Log into systems ahead of trading and complete end-of-day procedures
- Predict and request consumable items before stocks run out
- Work collaboratively with your colleague to ensure POS coverage at all times
- Support promotional activities and new product launches
Qualifications
- Minimum Matric certificate (Mathematics Literacy or Mathematics is required)
- Demonstrable communication standard in English
- Valid ID and reliable transport to/from work

Experience
- 1-5 years of work experience is beneficial (but not required)
- Experience in FMCG, retail, cashiering, merchandising, or stock control is strongly advantageous
