WMS Systems Support

About the position

We are recruiting a WMS Systems Support specialist for a large distribution center. This is a hands-on role supporting the warehouse management system, its users and the daily flow of data between the WMS and ERP system.

Experience with Manhattan WMS will be a strong advantage. We are particularly interested in candidates who have supported Manhattan in a live distribution center and can investigate operational issues using system transactions and process history.

What you'll do

• Provide first-line WMS support to distribution center users and escalate issues to the WMS vendor when needed.
• Maintain SKU master data, barcodes, pack sizes, weights and dimensions.
• Manage bin master data, pick faces, bulk locations and pick wave templates.
• Set up users and maintain appropriate system access.
• Monitor ERP-WMS integration failures, check stock balances and coordinate the resolution of discrepancies.
• Support handheld devices, scanners, printers and related warehouse hardware.
• Assist with system maintenance, upgrades and liaison with the WMS provider.
• Produce exception, bin utilization and operational reports to support the distribution center team.

Experience

• Matric and 2-4 years' experience in a similar WMS support or systems administration role.
• Practical experience troubleshooting a WMS in an operational warehouse or distribution center.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and clear communication with operational users.
• Manhattan WMS experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with a WMS implementation or a large-scale distribution center will be advantageous.
• A diploma in programming or systems administration will be advantageous.
