About the position
Overview
An experienced Database Developer is required to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions within a dynamic IT environment. The role focuses on building efficient, scalable, and high-performing database structures, with a strong emphasis on Oracle-based development.
Key Requirements
- Relevant 3-year IT qualification (Diploma or Degree)
- Minimum 5 years’ database development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL
- Proven ability to design, develop, and optimise database solutions
Certifications (Required)
- Certification in one of the following:
- Oracle Database 11g (or higher)
- Microsoft SQL Database
Core Competencies
- Database design and data modelling
- Writing and optimising complex SQL queries
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Data integrity and security best practices
- Working within structured development environments
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a hybrid model
- Availability for onsite engagement in Johannesburg is required as needed
