About the position
An established public-sector organisation operating in a highly regulated environment is seeking a skilled Database Developer to design, develop and support robust data solutions that enable critical business and reporting functions. This role is ideal for a technically strong developer who enjoys working with complex data, high-quality standards, and enterprise-scale systems. Key Responsibilities Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions Design, develop and maintain SQL Server database objects (views, functions, stored procedures, UDTs) Develop advanced ETL processes and data integration solutions Build reports and dashboards using Power BI Contribute to data architecture and database design decisions Perform data quality checks, profiling, metadata and master data management Conduct code reviews and impact analysis Support production environments and resolve data-related issues Maintain system and technical documentation Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable) ?? Education ?? Experience & Technical Skills Minimum 3 years' experience developing database solutions on Microsoft SQL Server Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience writing Transact-SQL Minimum 3 years' experience developing on the Power BI platform Proven experience with: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or newer Windows Server 2012 or newer Strong working knowledge of: XML, XSD and JSON ETL development Data quality and data profiling ?? Mandatory Certification (one required) MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development or MCSA: SQL 2016 BI Development or MCSA: SQL 2016 BI Reporting
