About the position

DBN000213 - Software Implementation Engineer (AI & Agentic Workflows) - Pretoria

Purpose of the Job:

To lead the way in the "Agentic Era." Your goal is to design, implement, and optimize self-sufficient AI agents that serve as our enterprise clients' digital workforce.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.  
  • The Agentic Stack: Practical experience with LLM orchestration for AI Agents and an understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Voice Agents.  
  • Deep proficiency in RESTful APIs and Webhook architectures. You should be comfortable architecting how systems integrate.
  • Strong ability to process, map, and transform data between disparate enterprise schemas using Excel and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with the API ecosystems of major CRMs and messaging platforms.


Required Technical Competencies & Ability:

  • Agentic Workflow Design: Create multi-step autonomous behaviors (such as automated follow-ups, lead qualifying, and complex inquiry resolution) where AI agents oversee complete client journeys.
  • Enterprise Systems Integration: Oversee technical integrations with platforms that are essential to the purpose, such as payment gateways, CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot), and communication APIs (WhatsApp, SendGrid).
  • Event-Driven Automation: Create and manage AI agents, making use of Webhooks and Triggers to provide real-time data synchronization between client databases and AI agents.
  • Consultative Scoping: Partner with client stakeholders (from technical leads to C-suite executives) to translate business objectives into robust technical requirements.
  • Testing & Reliability: Design rigorous testing protocols to ensure AI agents operate within enterprise guardrails, handling edge cases with high confidence and seamless "human-in-the-loop" handoffs.
  • ROI & Performance Analytics: Monitor post-launch metrics to ensure continuous improvement and demonstrate clear project value through data-driven reporting.
