CNC Setter /Operator /Programmer

About the position

A dynamic organization based in the East Rand is looking to employ a CNC Operator and Setter with programming knowledge that has experience working on Lathe Machinery
Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Technical certification / Trade Tested (Highly Advantageous)
• Experience working on Fanuc and Siemens control systems
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Setter, Operator, or Programmer with CNC lathe/turning centers
• Set up CNC lathes by mounting, adjusting, and aligning tools, fixtures, and work pieces
• Operate CNC machines efficiently, monitoring performance to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications
• Inspect machined components using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to verify compliance with drawings and tolerances
• Adhere to all company safety standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S principles
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of G-code and M-code for both Fanuc and Siemens control platforms
• Create simple programs for basic components or operations using available conversational programming features
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Advanced knowledge of G-code/M-code, with the ability to perform program edits and cycle optimizations
• Skilled in using precision inspection equipment
• Solid understanding of tooling, inserts, and cutting parameters for turning applications
