About the position
Brief Description
The main purpose for this role is to manage the security architecture domain and landscape, develop reverence content and ensure the application thereof in the critical and operational environments are compliant with best practise posture for the company and its customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Lead: Technical customer relationship management to support the company to delivery on relevant service schedule/s.
- Security Architecture Design and Implementation: Design and deploy robust networking solutions that meet the business’s scalability, performance, and security requirements.
- Security Operations: act as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex security support and maintain of the information security management systems and posture.
- Incident Management: manage and diagnose performance issues, conducting network analysis and optimization to ensure optimal service performance and availability.
- Change Management: Scope; plan; ensure governance compliance and resourcing for all customer; OEM or the company initiated changes to support; maintain and optimize the environment.
- Maintenance and Optimization: Regularly assess network performance, troubleshoot complex network issues, and ensure continuous network availability.
- Security Management: Implement and manage network security tools and protocols, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Project Management: Lead network-related projects from conception through to completion, including planning, execution, and resource allocation.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate with vendors to procure relevant hardware and software solutions that align with business objectives.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation for security architectures, configurations, processes, and compliance records. May generate reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer way of work; roadmap and deliverables.
- Training: Conduct information security awareness and training programme and participate in related events and activities.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze and predict demand growth trends to ensure infrastructure scalability and performance.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior security analysts and engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in security engineering with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Functional expertise in managing architecture, risk analysis, physical security architecture, design, enterprise architecture or solution architecture.
- Experience in delivering on Alexforbes Security Tools and Technology (Including but not limited to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Intune (AV, EDR and FDE), Zscaler, Fortinet, (Cisco ISE,FMC,FTD,FPR,ASA), Radware Cloud, F5 including ASM, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and Mimecast).
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Enterprise Architecture fundamentals across networking, security and data centre.
