About the position

A Cape Town-based product company (hybrid setup) is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer with solid architecture experience to join a close-knit team solving technically interesting problems. The work touches on everything from performance and scale to system security and thoughtful design, with a strong focus on real-world reliability.

You'll work across the stack on a platform that processes high volumes of data and transactions, with the chance to influence architecture decisions while staying hands-on with code. It's a collaborative, fast-moving environment where engineers are trusted to own what they build, and supported by peers who care deeply about doing things properly.

If you're someone who thrives on building clean, scalable systems and enjoys contributing at both the engineering and architectural level, this might be worth exploring.

Some of the skills and experience that will help you hit the ground running:

  • Solid backend experience with C# (.NET), PostgreSQL, and containerization using Docker
  • Frontend know-how using [URL Removed] or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, S3, RDS, SNS/SQS, and DynamoDB
  • Strong grasp of microservices and event-driven architecture
  • Ability to design secure, scalable systems in regulated environments
  • Confidence translating business needs into clear technical designs
  • Hands-on experience leading or influencing architectural decisions
  • Good Git hygiene, and a bias toward clean, well-documented code
  • Comfortable working in agile teams with fast feedback loops
