About the position

Our client is looking for a Cost/Commercial Analyst to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Divisional Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting the Divisional Executive with cost and sales analysis and reports
  • Preparing forecasting estimates
  • Preparing and analysing various monthly Sales Reports and Sales Estimates
  • Preparing costings and maintaining all costing data on the system
  • Producing month end schedules and reports on various costs, margins, stock holdings, etc.
  • Working closely with production, planner and sales
  • Preparing and ensuring continuous improvements on key management statistics in the business
  • Assisting the Divisional Executive with preparing annual budgets
  • Assisting the Divisional Executive and Team with ad hoc assignments

Requirements:

  • B.Com/B.Compt degree (with accounting subjects) or completed CIMA
  • B.Com Honours (Finance or Accounting Honours) advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a cost accounting role
  • Manufacturing management accounting experience will be advantageous
  • SAP experience will be beneficial
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft office are essential
