About the position
To provide both Esports coaching and IT technical support within a private school environment. The role combines competitive gaming leadership with day-to-day IT operational support to ensure effective learning delivery and technical functionality across the school.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- CompTIA A+, N+ or equivalent certification
- 1–3 years of hands-on IT support or hardware and software troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven experience coaching or competing at a high level in Counter-Strike, Valorant, and/or Fortnite.
- Own reliable transport
Key Performance Areas:
- Lead, coach, and mentor students in Esports, developing team strategy and sportsmanship
- Manage Esports practices, competitions, and gaming activities across multiple titles
- Provide daily IT support and troubleshooting for staff, students, and school devices
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals
- Support users with Microsoft Office applications and related systems
- Assist with school operations such as supervision duties, exam invigilation, and substitution teaching when required
- Promote a disciplined, inclusive, and positive environment that balances academic and gaming excellence
