Position Overview
Our client is seeking two End User Technical Support Technicians to provide onsite technical support at the Qwaqwa site.
The successful candidates will provide hands-on technical support to end users, maintain ICT equipment, troubleshoot hardware/software issues and assist with the day-to-day technical operations of the site.
Due to the location and nature of the role, candidates already based in Qwaqwa/Phuthaditjhaba or the surrounding area will be strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support to end users.
- Install and configure workstations, laptops, peripherals and ICT equipment.
- Install and maintain operating systems, applications and drivers.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software faults.
- Diagnose and resolve technical incidents.
- Perform hardware repairs and component replacements where necessary.
- Troubleshoot network endpoints and connectivity issues.
- Assist with equipment relocations and installations.
- Support software and application deployments.
- Record and update incidents on the IT Service Management system.
- Ensure accurate documentation of technical resolutions.
- Assist with technical events and video conferencing.
- Provide technical support during business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor equipment and network-related issues.
- Escalate complex technical problems appropriately.
- Provide professional end-user support.
- Work independently while maintaining communication with the broader technical team.
- Comply with client health, safety, security and technical requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc technical assignments as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- A+ certification
- N+ certification
- Apple Essentials certification Advantageous
- Linux Essentials certification Advantageous
- Minimum 2 Years relevant IT support experience.
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Own reliable vehicle.
- No criminal record.
