Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated expertise as a Product Owner, with full accountability for all facets of the (sub-)product.
- Extensive experience in IT project management and technical leadership, including team coordination and strategic direction.
- Proven leadership capabilities, successfully guiding large teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively, consistently meeting high-quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, with excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to comprehend and translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions, driving concepts through to execution.
- Adaptable and efficient in managing multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising delivery.
- Deep understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira and Confluence.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as outlined in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.
- Full accountability for the sub-product's delivery, ensuring timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
- Ownership of all related deliverables and proactive team leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters concerning the sub-product and its associated applications.
- Independently engage with business units, providing guidance and influence as needed.
- Sole responsibility for the sub-product backlog, including its content, prioritisation, and ongoing refinement.
- Manage escalations effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
- Ensure production stability by prioritising critical non-functional requirements.
- Analyse customer and market needs, translating them into actionable product backlog items.
- Provide regular updates to the Product Owner based in Germany, with a direct reporting line to the Delivery Manager in South Africa.
- Foster a positive and productive team culture, promoting healthy team dynamics.
- Identify, address, and escalate risks and impediments as appropriate.
- Mentor and coach team members to support their growth and development.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners.
- Tackle complex challenges autonomously and guide your teams through similar scenarios.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
Essential Skills Requirements:
- Relevant IT / Business / Engineering Degree
- 5+ years’ experience in leading teams and being responsible for a team’s output.
- 8+ years’ experience in software development and Experience in IT Business Analysis.
- 15+ years overall IT working experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Time Management and context switching Skills.
