About the position
Our client , a leader in Telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced IT Service Manager to join their IT Insurance division. Responsible for the end-to-end planning, delivery, performance management, and continual improvement of IT services across the organisation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in IT Operations or Service Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience within a multi-vendor or enterprise environment will be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with South African regulatory requirements, including POPIA and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience working within dynamic industries such as Finance or Telecommunications will be considered an advantage.

- Project Management - Familiarity with project management methodologies and frameworks, including Agile and PRINCE2.
Preferred Certifications:
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher (e.g., ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader).
- Project Management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2.
- Security or risk management certifications, including CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
- AWS certification(s) will be advantageous.
