About the position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the South African market, developing strong relationships with key decision-makers, and closing sales deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- Conduct needs analysis to understand customer requirements..
- Prepare proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals. - Provide ongoing support and account management to existing clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer success.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven track record in IT sales.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Familiarity with the South African IT market.
- 3+ years of sales experience in IT, FMCG, or Retail.
- High school diploma (Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or Finance preferred)

- Sales certifications.
- Existing network within the South African IT industry.
- Knowledge of local data privacy regulations.
