Role Overview
My client, based in Woodstock, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver projects within the security, network and infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from planning and budgeting through to implementation and delivery.
The role requires a strong ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including Group Executives and senior management, while ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with business objectives, timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery and implementation of security, network and infrastructure projects.
- Develop, maintain and manage comprehensive project plans, milestones, deliverables and timelines.
- Establish and manage project budgets, including financial tracking, forecasting and cost control.
- Prepare and present project progress, risks, issues and dependencies to Steering Committees (SteerCos).
- Engage with Group Executives, senior management and business stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and project progress.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage resources to ensure successful project implementation.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, implementing appropriate mitigation plans.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication across technical and business teams.
- Monitor project performance and ensure delivery against agreed scope, timelines, quality standards and budgets.
- Provide regular project status reports and executive-level updates.
- Manage project changes, escalations and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years' experience in project management.
- Proven experience managing projects within security, networking and infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing project plans and budgets.
- Experience presenting to and engaging with Steering Committees and Group Executives.
- Proven track record of managing projects from initiation through to implementation and delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across technical, operational and executive levels.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a complex project environment.
