About the position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
The role focuses on execution excellence, coordinating internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver predictable outcomes while effectively managing risks, dependencies, and change. The incumbent will work closely with Business Relationship Managers, the Digital Operational Excellence Lead, and technical teams to ensure successful implementation and transition into operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and system integrators
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes
- Track budgets, costs, and financial performance of projects
- Drive execution to ensure delivery within scope, time, and quality standards
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels
- Support system integration and digital transformation initiatives
- Oversee change, release, and transition into operations
- Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and delivery methodologies
- Track benefits realisation and project value delivery
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Process Management, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in IT Project Management
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in process improvement / operational excellence
- Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder IT initiatives
- Experience managing vendors and system integrators
- Strong exposure to digital transformation initiatives
Mandatory Technical Skills
- End-to-end IT project delivery

- Strong understanding of system integration projects
