IT Manager (HOD)

About the position

Our client based in the Sandton area is looking for an IT Manager (HOD) who will report into the IT Executive. See below some of the responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of the Groups IT Strategy and plans which align with the overall Brands strategies.
• Implement the IT Strategy and plans which align with the overall Brands strategies.
• Solve real-world technology challenges.
• Oversee and manage all technical projects in alignment with the group's goals.
• Directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes
• Ensure all systems, security and data are compliant with POPIA.
• Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer and consumer experience.
• Working with information engineers to find solutions to manage business activities.
• Managing a team of data analysts and IT support while working closely with management, external vendors, and advisors
• Assesses the need for new equipment and software implementation.
• Preparing financial budgets and presenting proposals for capital projects to the CEO and CFO
• Leading efforts to improve IT processes.
• Attend and present at regional and national franchisee meetings where necessary.

Education and qualifications
Must have a minimum diploma in IT, Computer science or related field
Expereince with point of sale systems
Background in designing/developing IT Systems and planning IT implemnentation
Expereince in a franchise environment would be an advantage
Cloud expereince is beneficial with AWS or MS Azure
