About the position
DBN000289 - IT Infrastructure Support Officer - Durban
Purpose of the Job:
Provide reliable IT infrastructure and end-user support by maintaining stable systems, resolving technical issues and supporting business continuity.
Required Qualifications:
- Matric
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+ or Microsoft Certification will be advantageous.
- 3+ years’ technical experience supporting Microsoft Server environments, Desktops & Networking.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Resolve helpdesk incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.
- Provide first- and second-line IT support for hardware, software, and workplace technology.
- Maintain and repair hardware.
- Perform network testing and preventative maintenance.
- Support antivirus, backup, and disaster recovery systems.
- Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and follow change management procedures.
- Conduct routine infrastructure health checks.

- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
