We are now looking for an IT Finance, Control & Legal Functional Relationship Manager within our IT department based in Bryanston.

As a Functional Relationship Manager, the primary role is to decrease the complexity of collaboration between the Business and IT. The role acts as principal contact between multiple Business Stakeholders (Function, Market, GMB, CoS, etc.) and IT stakeholders through the products and services lifecycle and is required to understand Business requirements and provide receivers with a consistent and effective experience in working with IT teams starting from the creation of (multi-) functional roadmaps to deployments, sustain and up to elimination of functional legacy solutions. This role particularly involves transparent communications, facilitation of issue resolution, triggering escalations processes when required, a deep understanding of the IT organization, stakeholders, and governance.

A day in the life of an IT Finance, Control & Legal FRM:

Relationship Management -

  • Deep understanding of functional Business objectives, processes, governance, and challenges. Strong relationships with Business key stakeholders
  • Maintains same level of relationship within IT. Proactively shares the Business requirements/insights with IT, secures the required IT resources and brings the right people to the table to ensure value creation for both: the Business and IT
  • Leads regular interactions between both organizations to inform and maintain a continuing good relationship and a shared vision.

Risk management -

  • Maps and monitors dependencies across the various initiatives of the in-scope Product Groups and conducts proactive business impact analysis and risk assessment.
  • Creates mitigation plans and schedules cross product group coordination reviews to anticipate issues or resolve conflicts or problems.

Governance -

  • Participates in the IT governance processes that enable prioritization across multiple options.
  • Accountable for demand management (where applicable).
  • Supports the business governance processes (e.g., automation that would remove business headcounts or drastically impact business ways of working).

Support/Sustain -

  • Prioritizes issues and escalations on behalf of receivers.
  • Provide insight into business disruptions caused by P1/P2 and unplanned outages.
  • Coordinate crisis management and communication during P1/P2 situations.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management -

  • Accountable for ensuring all applications within their product are delivered and maintained secure and compliant with internal standards and external regulations, including privacy requirements, Business Continuity Plans etc.

Leadership -

  • Create the context: create alignment and the adoption of our IT Vision to Life (IT V2L), lead by example, promote an open culture and our values in a sustainable way, promote innovation and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Drive performance: empower and enable people, give, and receive feedback, evaluate, and differentiate performance, constantly challenge the set-up organization to ensure its results and effectiveness.
  • Recognize achievements: give and receive recognition, reward performance.
  • Support a moonshot initiative (creative to bring value to the business in a controlled risk environment).

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably computer science or field related to the function.
  • 7+ years' experience in IT (e.g., BA, PM, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in a product-based IT organization.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English.
