IT Applications System Developer

About the position

Our Client who is in the couriers services sector is looking for a IT Application System Developer to assess and revamp current application offerings
Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification in an industry-related field and/or a relevant Information Technology Degree
• Programming language .Net C#
• Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in software development
• Good understanding and execution of MVC framework
• Proficient in MS SQL (T-SQL)
• Good understanding of and coding experience in CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, C#
• Strong understanding of different system integration methods primarily Web services, JSON, FTP
• Strong understanding of object orientated methodology
• Mobile development predominantly using Android with Java or other related software development tools

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft based systems and other operating systems
• Develop applications both Windows and web based as per the business requirements
• Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting
• Assist in troubleshooting software application issues
• Assist Network Administrator with application installation and testing
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements
• Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions
• Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology
• Provide SQL administration in live and test environments
• Setup and configure database, also ensuring that the systems are developed and configured according to industry standards
• Setup and configure the databases ensure that the production live database is secure and maintained according to industry standards
• Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
• Verify database and data integrity
• Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects and existing projects
• Serve as a Liaison and Facilitator between all business units internal and external to Dawn Wing to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues
