About the position
Our client is seeking an experienced ISO Officer to join the Isando, Johannesburg team
· Develop, implement, and maintain ISO management systems based on relevant certifications - ISO9001, ISO45001 & ISO45001
· Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards, local regulatory requirements e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) etc.
· Maintain document control systems, policies, and procedures in accordance with ISO standards.
· Conduct gap analysis and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
· Maintain accurate Employee records (contracts, job descriptions, performance appraisals, etc.).
· Assist with onboarding and termination processes
· Administer ESS applications and update the payroll system accurately
· Ensure compliance with South African labour laws.
· Assist with audit requirements (MIBCO, DoL, COIDA etc.)
· Plan, conduct, and document internal audits to assess compliance with ISO requirements.
· Support external audits by certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
· Identify and track non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
· Work with different departments to prepare for ISO certification, surveillance audits, and re-certification processes.
· Prepare audit reports, compliance reports, and management review reports to present to Committees, MD's
· Maintain records of corrective actions, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
· Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to ISO compliance
Requirements· Grade 12
· Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety, Quality Management, Environmental Science or related
· ISO Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certification e.g., ISO9001 or ISO45001 preferred
· Minimum 2 years relevant experience, preferably gained in the motor industry
