You thrive in a structured, highly regulated financial environment and have a keen eye for compliance. With a strong background in offshore onboarding, you understand the importance of KYC and AML requirements, and you can apply a risk-based approach when reviewing client documentation. You're confident in liaising with high-net-worth individuals, investment managers, and compliance teams to ensure a seamless client experience. You enjoy problem-solving, mentoring junior staff, and taking ownership of complex client onboarding processes.
You'll be the key point of contact for high-net-worth clients, investors, and investment managers, ensuring the smooth onboarding process up to the point of fund investment. You'll lead KYC and AML compliance processes, conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk clients, and manage remediation projects and audits. In addition, you'll collaborate with internal teams to ensure all necessary documentation and approvals are secured, keeping records accurate and up to date. Your role will also involve improving onboarding processes, reducing risks, and increasing operational efficiency. Given the small office environment, you'll also assist with general office management, including liaising with service providers and ensuring a well-maintained workspace.

A relevant degree in law, finance or investments, is essential, along with at least 5 years of experience in offshore onboarding within the financial industry. Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance is crucial, and additional certifications in these areas will be advantageous. You should have excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong communication skills to interact with high-profile clients and stakeholders. You need to have your own reliable transport and only candidates currently residing in Cape Town can be considered.
