About the position
Main Purpose of the Job:
To ensure the effective marketing of KPI related products for Cape Town Office, to facilitate the day to day funding, and to focus on CCB's future funding strategies in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures of the Bank.
Key Performance Indicators for this KPA:
Quality
- New Effective client/CIBM/EOB/Branding - To source new customers to attract investments and achieve other targets according to Treasury and Executive requirements, measured annually.
- New Effective clients- To increase number of new investors.
- To assist the corporate banking department in attracting new business and cross selling loan products including cross-border investments and EOB to existing and new customers and counterparties through introductory meetings and corporate functions on the dates agreed.
- To ensure the effective marketing of all treasury products offered by CCB
Key Performance Indicators for this KPA:
Internal Management
- To maintain consistent contact with Treasury and develop good working relationship with all departments of CCB JHB.
- To ensure all current Treasury liquidity management, concentration and other associated limits are applied
- To ensure that Interest rate quotations will be accurate and market related, ensuring reputational goodwill and customer maintenance.
- To maintain a continuously good working relationship with Treasury and Treasury back office by ensuring proper processes are followed and service standards are maintained.
- To inform customers, counterparties and departmental stakeholders of any changes of current interest rates within one working day of notification of change from the Head of Treasury.
- Communicate with clients and transact accordingly. Send emails timeously to confirm trades with Treasury and Back office to allow capturing of deals into the related systems.
- To ensure that corporate values are evident in all interactions with customers, and to protect and enhance the brand of China Construction Bank.
- To ensure interactions with clients as per head office requirements. To monitor customers' needs in order to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- To maintain effective relationships with existing clients by meeting and entertaining regularly. To facilitate the day-to-day funding and to focus on CCB's future funding strategies in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures of the treasury department.
- To ensure that the products used to achieve funding objectives are met in the most cost effective manner, by performing the relevant product calculation in conjunction with Treasury s on a daily basis.
- To Assist Treasury with their LCR/NSFR and Liquidity Management
Key Performance Indicators for this KPA:
Compliance Management:
- Re-ID & On-boarding: Obtaining mandatory FICA documents from new and existing clients. To ensure internal compliance requirements and procedures are adhered to.
- To ensure AML Questionnaire information from clients is obtained annually for all Asset Managers.
- To ensure that all Suspicious and Unusual transactions are reported within regulatory timeframes.
- RE-ID of clients to be conducted regularly as per their Risk Ratings
- To ensure the capture of all information on NGS, and the accuracy of the customer information in the KYC file. To update all Compliance register requirements e.g. data register are maintained
- Training - as per requirements by HR, Compliance and other Departments
Key Performance Indicators for this KPA:
Brand expansion and Social responsibility:
- To participate in charity events in which CT office is involved
- To assist in arranging hospitality for delegations from head office, government officials and clients.
Summary of Job Requirements:
- Related degree or equivalent
- Previous Banking/Financial Services
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years' experience in Financial Service Industry specialized in Investment/ Portfolio Management as well as Wealth Management
- Business Development, economic and market research Compliance Management experience
- Analytical ability, interpretation skills, and strong communications skills
- Strong work ethics, and is able to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to cross-sell where opportunities prevail
- Excel proficient
- Essential Problem-solving skills
- Chinese speaking and reading - advatageous
