Investment Fund Operations Associate (6-month FTC) - Newly Qualified CA(SA)

About the position

• The Fund Operations team supports the business by facilitating flows into and out of the funds.
  
  Fund Operations owns the relationship with the Transfer Agent and is responsible for the oversight
  
  of their processes.
  
   
  
  As a Fund Operations Finance Associate you will take on responsibility for vendor oversight with specific focus on finance related tasks performed by the vendor.
  
   
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  
  • Transfer Agent Oversight:
  • Be responsible for oversight of service delivery of 3rd party service providers; ensuring adherence to SLA
  • Attend and/or contribute to scheduled 3rd party service provider’s service meetings (Ad-hoc, Weekly, Monthly)
  • Have attention to detail around 3rd party service provider’s processes, reporting and systems ensuring any risks are mitigated
  • Gain a full understanding of the end-to-end processes performed by the 3rd party service providers to ensure that the outcomes meet our client expectations
  • Team Functions
    • Perform ‘hands-on’ role in executing responsibilities, and ensuring all tasks are completed within deadlines as per procedures and task lists
    • Escalate, manage and resolve operational queries and escalations timeously using systems designed for these
    • Build relationships with external and internal stakeholders (legal, compliance, client service, client group, and other operations teams)
    • Be responsible for instructions to be submitted and actioned accurately and timeously using the appropriate systems
    • Identify key risks and ensure effective controls are in place (both at service provider and internally), always considering existing procedures and how to improve these to close gaps in service delivery
    • Conduct data analyses to investigate ongoing/ad hoc operational issues and explore ways to reduce these using technology
  • Perform analysis and compile reports for internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Ensure process notes are maintained and created where they don’t currently exist
  • Be responsible for backup for all functions within the team
  Requirements:
  
  
  • New CA(SA) or Degree qualified with Asset Management or Financial Servicing auditing experience
  • HyperionDev, MS PowerBI, SQL and Python is advantageous
  • Knowledge of FinSwitch advantageous
