About the position
Responsibilities:
- Has a detailed understanding and application of the various valuation techniques including but not limited to discounted cash flow ("DCF"), enterprise value ("EV") to earnings before taxation, interest, depreciation & amortisation ("EBITDA"), EV to earnings before taxation & interest ("EBIT"), price to earnings ("PE") & price to net asset value ("P/NAV").
- Has a detailed understanding and application of financial statements and company analysis.
- Assist in the commercial due diligence and analysis on prospective projects.
- Has the ability to complete a discussion paper.
- Has the ability to complete a transaction proposal.
- Undertake research & provide updates on financial markets, latest developments & trends in key infrastructure sectors etc. in the local, African, and global markets.
- Assist in compiling relevant Impact and ESG reports and completing various ESG and other industry related surveys.
- Ensure that all investment compliance regulations are met, and properly reported against guidelines (e.g. UNPRI, SDG's, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Post graduate bachelor's degree in finance.
- Master's degree in business or finance will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
- Major advantage; experience withing the Renewable Energy field
- Sound experience in building & maintaining financial models non-negotiable, performing DCF and other valuations methodologies
