Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Investment Analyst to join their team in Rosebank. The Investment Analyst – Reporting is responsible for producing accurate and timely investment performance, risk, and compliance reports. The role involves maintaining and improving reporting systems and processes, supporting the investment team with quantitative analysis, and ensuring clients receive high-quality performance insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep interest in financial markets, and the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of investment performance, risk, and compliance reports as part of a team of investment professionals.
- Continuously review, enhance, and automate reporting processes related to performance and compliance.
- Maintain and update performance data within relevant databases.
- Evaluate investment models and ensure accuracy of client reporting data.
- Design, calculate, analyse, and distribute monthly and quarterly client performance reports.
- Prepare Regulation 28 and Annexure B compliance reports on a regular basis.
- Compile and circulate summarised market information for clients and internal stakeholders daily, monthly, and quarterly.
- Assemble and present economic, risk-return, and organisational data in support of client reporting and team presentations.
- Manage performance reporting processes for onboarding new clients.
- Conduct data quality assurance checks.
- Assist with quantitative analysis projects as required.
- Recommend or define appropriate model specifications and data collection methods.
- Document reporting and system requirements for development use.
- Collaborate with developers on the design, testing, and refinement of new analytical tools to meet business and user requirements.
- Provide general quantitative support across the investment team
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Investments, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. CFA Charter or progression towards the designation is advantageous.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience involving investment performance and risk measurement, calculations, and analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with investment accounting, administration, and reporting.
- Familiarity with performance and risk measurement standards or a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects and under tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work under pressure.
- Keen interest in financial markets, economic trends, and investment practices.
- Experience with tools like Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct is highly desirable.
