Investment Analyst

About the position

Our client is looking for a strong Investment analyst to join their team in Cape Town CBD

This is a full-time on-site role.

The Investment Analyst will be responsible for:

• analysing the financial reports and management accounts of investee companies.
• conducting due diligence on potential investment acquisitions.
• liaising with investees financial managers, CFOs in getting financial statements, management accounts, performance updates on investee companies on a regular basis
• providing investment reports on the investee companies financials and performance.
• managing relationships with investee company management teams
• assisting the Corporate finance team with deal execution efforts and preparing investment committee reports for potential acquisitions.
• performing yearly investment valuations.
• presenting monthly, biannual, and yearly investment reports to executive management team and investment committee.
• preparing and providing accurate and timely investment reports to exco.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Investments
• CFA or other related certification
• Financial modelling
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
• Experience in investment valuations, due diligence, and private equity knowledge is beneficial.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in investment reporting, financial analysis, or a related field
• Experience in valuations.
• Finance and Investment Management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
