About the position
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Supervisor to oversee and manage their inventory operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock control, efficient processes, and alignment between inventory levels and operational demand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily inventory operations and ensure accurate stock levels across all warehouses or storage locations
- Supervise receiving, storage, and dispatch processes to ensure correct documentation and system updates
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and full stock takes to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, variances, and system errors promptly
- Monitor stock movements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the system
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with demand forecasts
- Ensure proper stock rotation and minimize obsolete or slow-moving stock Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, policies, and best practices
- Prepare and present inventory reports, variance reports, and performance metrics to management
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce shrinkage, and optimize warehouse efficiency
- Train, supervise, and evaluate inventory staff to ensure productivity and compliance with company standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company operational procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- Candidate needs to be available immediately
- 2–3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role Experience working with inventory management systems (WMS Data scope)

- Ability to lead, supervise, and train a team of inventory personnel
- Proficiency in inventory tracking, reporting, and stock control systems
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
