Inventory Demand Planner

About the position

INVENTORY DEMAND PLANNER
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Demand Planner to join our US client's team in a fully remote role to use historical sales data, market trends and business insights to build accurate forecasts and to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting
? Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, business intelligence, and market trends.
? Continuously monitor and improve forecast accuracy through analysis and adjustments.
? Track and evaluate forecast accuracy and adjust strategy accordingly to reduce forecast errors and improve supply planning.
? Manage demand planning for new product introductions, promotions as well as end of life transitions, ensuring smooth inventory flow at all times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
? Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations teams to gather insights, align on promotional plans, and refine demand planning strategies.
? Communicate regularly with Procurement to align supply with forecasted demand and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
Inventory Optimization
? Analyze inventory levels, sales performance, and customer buying behaviors to optimize stock levels across platforms.
? Support the introduction of new SKUs and manage the transition of discontinued products.
? Monitor and manage inventory to ensure consistent availability of top-performing (best-sellers) products across all Amazon marketplaces and fulfillment centers.
? Identify potential supply and demand risks and provide data driven recommendations to mitigate stockouts from an excess inventory, and lost sales.
Reporting and Analysis
? Create and manage reports on key inventory KPIs, such as forecast accuracy, stockouts, and inventory turnover.
? Identify inventory planning risks and opportunities and recommend actionable improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with demand planning tools and inventory management systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent Excel skills; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Experience working in a fast-paced e-commerce or consumer goods environment preferred.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Amazon is beneficial.
• Willingness to work from 10:00 to 19:00 on Mondays to Fridays
