Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join their Logistics team in Paarl (Western Cape). Preference will be given to candidates from the agricultural sector. 





Key Requirements:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
• At least two years’ relevant experience within the agriculture sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
• Solid understanding of stock management systems.
• Strong communication skills.

Job Description:

• Import all stock into the system accurately and within the required timeframe to ensure timely availability of data for operations.
• Reconcile system stock against physical stock at cold stores.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies from reconciliation.
• Handle stock-related queries promptly.
• Book sample and/or marketing pallets as requested.
• Perform daily checks on overall stock to ensure there are no inconsistencies.
• Process mates data, including calculating weights and linking pallet details with container and vessel.
• Generate shipment documentation and send to freight forwarders.
• Manage Paltrack registrations for fresh produce suppliers.
• Maintain masterdata on systems.
• Ensure effective and efficient communication with packhouses to support smooth operations.
• Prioritise tasks effectively, multitask, and maintain accuracy under pressure to meet operational deadlines.
