Inventory and Warehouse Coordinator

About the position

Our client based in Gauteng is seeking an Inventory and Warehouse Coordinator to join their team. This is a 3-month contract. 

• As the Inventory Coordinator at the Johannesburg branch, you are responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• You oversee stock movements, coordinate stock counts, and ensure that inventory systems are up to date.
• Working closely with the warehouse, sales, and procurement teams, you help ensure that stock availability supports operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• You play a key role in investigating discrepancies, monitoring stock variances, and supporting the smooth flow of goods in and out of the branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• CYCLE COUNT COMPLETION RATE: Complete 100% of scheduled cycle counts per day, week, and month as communicated by Finance.
• WAREHOUSE COMPLIANCE & ORGANIZATION: Maintain warehouse standards in terms of layout, bin locations, demarcation, labeling, FIFO, damages, obsolescence, and general 5S principles.
• IBT ACCURACY: Ensure all incoming and outgoing IBTs are processed on time and accurately to prevent stock discrepancies.
• COORDINATE PRODUCT RETURNS: Oversee customer product returns, ensuring all returns are recorded with necessary details and allocated correctly (back to warehouse or damaged goods section).
• PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Applies strong understanding of the full product range to ensure accurate stock handling, correct labeling, and effective communication with teams. Uses product knowledge to reduce errors and support efficient inventory management.
