Inventory Accountant

About the position

We are currently in search of a meticulous and seasoned Inventory Accountant to become a part of our team. The perfect candidate will possess a solid background in inventory accounting. The ideal candidate should be adept at financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including valuation, quantities, and locations
• Calculate and analyse costs associated with inventory
• Reconcile physical inventory counts with recorded quantities, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
• Prepare inventory-related reports, such as stock status, turnover, and aging analysis, to support decision-making and inventory control
• Ensure compliance with inventory accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls to mitigate risks and safeguard assets

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
