About the position
A person who oversees & coordinates receiving, storing, and distributing of products. Further coordinates end-to-end logistics, dispatch, and order fulfilment of client orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Develop protocols for loss mitigation, obsolescence, and efficient item slotting within the warehouse.
- Logistics & Dispatch: Coordinate daily transport schedules, optimize delivery routes, and assign drivers or carriers to meet strict deadlines.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor goods in real-time from origin to destination using electronic inventory control and GPS systems.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Verify that shipments adhere to transport regulations, safety policies, and site delivery requirements.
- Stock Monitoring: Track inbound and outbound inventory in real-time, monitoring reorder points to prevent stock outs.
- Audits & Cycle Counts: Conduct regular physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and manage shrinkage.
- Vendor & Order Management: Audit vendor invoices, process purchase orders, and resolve delivery disputes.
- Data Analysis: Generate routine statistical reports on inventory turnover, accuracy rates, and operational costs.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or certificate in supply chain, logistics, or finance is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in inventory or stock control. Delivery co-ordination abilities
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). SAP knowledge and working experience are advantageous.
Systems & Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience working with ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- SAP experience and knowledge would be advantageous.
- Experience with electronic inventory tracking and GPS-based shipment tracking would be beneficial.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
