PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Key Performance Area (KPA): Inventory Data Maintenance: Project Support: Stakeholder Engagement: Policy Implementation: Operational and Records Management: JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of practical work experience in heritage management, collections management, data management, digitization or data analysis is required. Knowledge and experience in SAHRIS would be an added advantage. The demonstration of excellent administrative skills is required for the position. To support the aims on the National Inventory Unit by ensuring heritage resources are effectively inventorised and included in the inventory of the national estate as per the requirements of the National Heritage Resources Act.

An undergraduate Degree, or equivalent, in a Heritage Resources Management related field.
Heritage Conservation Management.
Heritage Legislation.
Geographical Information Systems.
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders and/or service providers.
Ability to interpret data, calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and ratios, as well as the ability to present data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
A valid Code EB (08) driver's license.
Computer literacy with regard to the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
