Internal sales representative

About the position

A well-established company based in the East Rand is seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join our sales team.
Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, sales administration or a similar role.
• Experience in order processing, quotations and customer account management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook.
• Comfortable using business communication platforms such as LinkedIn and WhatsApp Business.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems.
• Prepare quotations, including pricing, stock availability and delivery lead times.
• Develop sales with existing customers by promoting COBA Africa's full product range and identifying new opportunities.
• Conduct outbound sales calls and handle incoming customer enquiries professionally.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors.
• Arrange appointments for the External Sales Team where required.
• Provide samples, product literature and quotations to customers.
• Liaise with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Production, Warehouse and Accounts to ensure excellent customer service.
• Provide customers with updates on orders, deliveries, account status and potential delays.
• Handle returns, invoice queries, pro-forma invoices and related customer administration.
• Record and resolve customer complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
• Maintain accurate customer information, pricing and sales documentation.
• Provide administrative and sales support to the External Sales Team.
• Assist with pricelist management and other duties as required.
• Support colleagues and contribute positively to the overall sales team's performance.
