Internal Sales Representative

About the position

A Well - Established Company on the East Rand of Johannesburg seeks a Internal Sales Rep.
Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer enquiries via phone, email and WhatsApp.
• Generate quotations, process sales orders and create job cards.
• Follow up on quotations to secure orders and maintain customer relationships.
• Monitor order progress and communicate delivery and backorder updates to customers.
• Create and maintain customer accounts on Pastel.
• Manage the full order entry process from enquiry through to delivery.
• Provide product information and recommend suitable solutions to customers.
• Monitor stock availability and liaise with the warehouse regarding stock levels.
• Assist walk-in customers and maintain a professional reception area.
• Support external sales representatives with quotations, orders and customer service.
• Process purchase orders, GRVs and stock-related administration.
• Participate in stock takes and stock adjustment processes.
• Maintain accurate debtor and customer records.
• Ensure outstanding quotations and jobs are followed up within agreed turnaround times.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 5 years' Internal Sales experience within the industrial equipment, electric motors, engineering, heavy-duty equipment or industrial parts industry.
• Proven experience handling the complete sales order process.
• Experience using Pastel Partner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Excellent communication, customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and perform well under pressure.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
• Must reside within approximately 15–20 km of the East Rand
