Internal Sales / Key Accounts - Chemical Raw Materials

About the position

A well-established chemical company requires the above to manage key accounts with large manufacturing companies supporting the external key accounts managers within the company ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a matric or equivalent.
• Previous experience having worked in an internal sales or customer services administration role is essential for the role.
• Previous experience having worked for a chemical raw material company that distributes products to manufacturers is essential.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• Must be service-orientated and have commercial drive.
• Good planning and execution skills.
• Must have excellent Microsoft Office and Excel skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing key accounts with large manufacturing companies supporting the external key accounts managers.
• Quoting prospective customers across all product ranges and providing product information where needed.
• Receiving and processing orders to ensure delivery and collection expectations for house account customers are met.
• Maintaining backorders/open and forward orders on a daily basis.
• Monitoring of stock levels to meet customer’s needs.
• Assisting with quotes and monthly pricing when needed.
• Following up with customers with regards to previous days' deliveries to ensure customer service and on-time in full deliveries.
• Communicating with customers with regard to order status, stock availability pricing etc.
• Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries.
• Ensuring external sales are kept informed of any developments relevant to their accounts.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
