About the position
My client, a dynamic interior design company, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join their small but high-performing team. The company provides end-to-end interior design solutions, including a design department, product sales division, and interior decorating services.
We are looking for a mature and motivated team player who thrives under pressure and takes initiative. This is a fast-paced role that requires resilience, multitasking, and a strong focus on accuracy and organisation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 23 years or older
- Valid South African driver's license
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- At least 2 years' experience in sales, administration, or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail (this is essential)
- Ability to multitask effectively - approximately 15 projects are handled simultaneously
- Well-organised and admin-focused
- Able to work well under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and understand architectural/house plans is advantageous
- Analytical thinking for product assessments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn new systems - training on QuickBooks will be provided
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate detailed quotes for products such as flooring, sanitaryware, lighting, etc.
- Contact suppliers for pricing and availability
- Place product orders and generate purchase orders
- Manage daily logistics coordination, including collections and deliveries with internal drivers
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 AM - 17:00 PM
