Purpose of the job:
Responsible for driving sales by managing key clients, handling orders, and ensuring customer needs are met from start to finish.
Required Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12 required
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- SAP knowledge advantageous
- Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing is a plus
- 5 years’ experience in sales or a related role
- Solid knowledge of board and timber products essential
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Plan and execute sales activities, handle enquiries, prepare quotes, and follow up to secure business
- Identify upselling opportunities and stay informed on market trends and competitor activity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers through regular engagement
- Understand client needs and provide suitable product solutions to maximize satisfaction
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally to maintain positive relationships
- Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with performance goals (KPA’s)
- Manage orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with clients
- Handle administrative tasks including reporting, coordinating with warehouse, and supporting stock takes
