Internal Sales Consultant (Counter Sales)

About the position

Job Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Internal Sales Consultant to assist customers with counter and telephonic sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection (timber and boards)
• Interpret and process cutting lists
• Prepare accurate quotations
• Capture and process orders
• Liaise with production team
• Meet monthly sales and margin targets

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in timber, board, hardware, or cut-and-edge sales
• Strong product knowledge
• Excellent numerical and calculation skills
• Ability to calculate percentages, mark-ups, and gross profit
• Strong attention to detail
• K8 system experience advantageous

Remuneration

• Basic salary: R6,500 per month
• Performance-based commission

Key Skills

• Strong customer service ability
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of carpentry and kitchen manufacturing industry
