Internal Auditor

About the position

A well-established organisation within the manufacturing and agro-processing sector is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join its team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, executing and reporting on internal audit activities across the business. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, providing assurance on risk management, governance, compliance and internal control processes
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute internal audit reviews across various business functions. 
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, systems and operational processes. 
• Identify risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement. 
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management. 
• Monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations. 
• Maintain risk registers and contribute to ongoing risk management initiatives. 
• Conduct investigations, compliance reviews and ad hoc audits when required. 
• Assist with the development and enhancement of audit methodologies, policies and procedures. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance. 
• Strong understanding of audit principles, governance and control frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and engage with stakeholders at all levels. 
• Strong business acumen, preferably within a manufacturing or agro-processing environment.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle. 
• Willingness to travel when required.
• FMCG, Manufacturing or Factory background
