Internal Audit Manager (Ref: IAM): 2-year Fixed-Term Contract The WRC is looking for a qualified and results driven individual to take on the permanent position of Internal Audit Manager. This position calls for an energetic and dynamic person to manage the internal audit coverage plan through implementation of the engagements approved in the Internal Audit Plan, provide assurance on governance, risk management and control processes in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) Global Internal Auditing Standards (Standards), the Internal Audit Charter, the Code of Ethics, and the International and the legislative framework, review and implement internal audit methodologies, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be a member of the CEO's Office and will report to the Chief Audit Executive. The closing date will be 10 June 2025. The Internal Audit Manager will provide effective administrative management, functional management of the internal audit Unit, participate in the development of strategic internal audit plans, keep up to date with new developments in the internal audit environment/ Invest in personal development. The incumbent will ensure the maintenance of efficient and effective controls and the achievement of the objectives of the internal audit function and motivate and direct staff to implement and maintain the internal audit methodologies, policies and procedures, produce consistent high-quality performance and develop proposals to determine the scope of the allocated internal audit engagements.
Applicants must be in possession of an NQF 7 (3-Year) Degree or equivalent. A NQF 8 Postgraduate Qualification and a relevant Professional qualification in Accounting/Internal Auditing will be an added advantage. Membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is required. A Minimum of five (5) years' experience in an Internal Audit supervisory/managerial role is required.
