About the position

Overview:
We're a leading sweets manufacturer in South Africa seeking a motivated Intern Buyer with 2 to 5 years of procurement experience to support our fast-paced supply chain operations. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to grow their buying expertise in the dynamic FMCG sector.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with sourcing of raw materials and packaging for confectionery production.
• Support supplier engagement and price negotiation processes.
• Place and track purchase orders in line with production schedules.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (production, planning, finance) to ensure stock availability.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance tracking.

Desired Skills:

• Requirements: -
• 2-5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain (FMCG preferred). -
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain
• Procurement
• or related field. -
• Excellent Excel and ERP system skills (e.g.
• SAP
• Syspro). -
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills. -
• Able to work independently and under pressure.

Desired Work Experience:

• 1 to 2 years Purchasing & Procurement
