About the position
A well-established financial services business is seeking to appoint an Intern: Assurance & Monitoring (18 month fixed term contract)
Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree/ Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing/Risk Management/ Governance/ Compliance/ Auditing.

Work based exposure may include the following:
- Assist in the implementation of internal control reviews and control self-assessment.
- Assist in developing control improvement plans, key controls, and indicators to proactively identify potential control failures.
- Track and monitor progress against the implementation rate and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Assist in reviewing and monitoring all the assurance work completed at the designated areas of responsibility/processing centres/regions.
- Maintenance of the monthly Combined Assurance Dashboard Of overdue and repeat findings.
- Attend Task Team Meetings, administration functions such as drafting the agenda, sending meeting invites, drafting minutes, and following up on matters arising and action plans.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of reports.
- Attend to inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders.
